On 25 February 2011, the Annual Sector Dinner hosted by the Association took place at Swissôtel with the participation of senior guests from the Undersecretariat of Treasury, Ministry of Agriculture, Financial Crimes Investigation Board, insurance companies and members of the working committees of the Association.
The theater play on insurance for children sponsored by the
Association ended its tour across Turkey. The final play was put on stage in the
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between19-20 February 2011. Following its
gala performance held in October 2009 in Istanbul, the play has reached around
100.000 children across several cities of Turkey during the past two years.
The play which aimed at entertaining children while teaching them about the
importance of being insured received great attention from both children and
parents. The play was free of charge and open to the participation of children
between 5–15 years old.
On 8 February 2011, the Association participated to the 8th
OECD Coordination Meeting hosted by the Turkish Foreign Ministry in Ankara. At
the meeting, the Association was represented by Ms. Muge Soysal, International
Relations Specialist. The meeting was attended by the officials from National
Coordination Units and related institutions.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Ahmet Erozan, Turkish Permanent
Representative to the OECD provided information on the latest developments in
the Turkey-OECD relations and important issues on the OECD agenda. At the
meeting, several presentations were held on global developments, G-20 and
Nuclear Energy Agency.
In the context of the OECD Coordination Meeting, a seminar was also held on OECD
On-line Information System (OLIS) on 9 February 2011. During the seminar, the
officials from the OECD Secretariat informed the participants about the methods
for making better use of OLIS.
The coordination meeting provided an important forum for participants from
different institutions to exchange views and experiences.
