On 18 January 2011, a group of officials from Japan based Nippon Life Company paid a visit to the Association to explore the investment opportunities in the Turkish insurance market. During the meeting, the Association was represented by Mr. Erhan Tuncay, Secretary General, Mr. Mehmet Kalkavan, Deputy Secretary General and Ms. Muge Soysal International Relations Specialist.Following the presentation made by the Association on the Turkish insurance market and its main indicators, a Q&A session was held.
On 4 January 2011, the Association held a meeting with the officials of the EU Delegation in Ankara to discuss the new Visa Code in the EU. At the meeting, the Association was represented by Mr. Mehmet Kalkavan, Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Atilla Oksay, Head of Technical Unit and Ms. Muge Soysal, International Relations Specialist.
During the meeting, the requirements of the new EU Visa Code were explained by the officials of the EU Delegation. The officials also requested the assistance of the Association to ensure the compliance of travel medical insurance policies with the new code
The Association summarized and translated into Turkish the CEA report entitled “European Insurance in Figures”. The report analyzes the total premiums, insurer’s investment portfolios, insurance companies and distribution channels in the European insurance market according to the latest data compiled from CEA members.
