On 30 March 2011, the Association held a meeting with Mr.
Eugene Gurenko, Senior Insurance Officer at the World Bank during a Financial
Sector Assessment Program team visit to Turkey. During the meeting, the
officials of the Association provided Mr.Gurenko with detailed information about
Turkish insurance sector, its role in the economy and legislative developments.
On 19 March 2011, the Association held a meeting with the
officials of the Revenue Administration. The annual meeting was attended by
senior offices of the Revenue Administration and chairman of board, board
members of the Association and also the officials of the Undersecretariat of
Treasury.During the meeting, taxation issues in the insurance sector and related
problems were discussed.
On 3 March 2011, the Association participated to the conference on “New Turkish Commercial Law” held by Koc University. During the conference, the Association was represented by Ms. Zeynep Reva, Legal Affairs Specialist. At the conference, the new aspects of the Turkish Commercial Code was discussed in detail.
