The Association has launched its initiatives as a new signatory of the European Road Safety Charter
Following the approval of the
Association’s application to become a signatory to the European Road
Safety Charter on November 2009, the Association received a signatory
kit from the ERSC team containing a personalized plaque with the name
and logo of the Association as well as visiual and written materials. As
one of the signatories of the European Road Safety Charter in Turkey,
the Association will carry out several actions to increase awareness on
road safety at the national level.

The theater play on insurance continues its tour across Turkey
The theater play on insurance for children sponsored by the Association
continues its tour across Turkey. The play which aims at creating awareness on
insurance has so far reached 38.000 children from various age groups and their
parents in western and northern cities of Turkey. The play will continue to
entertain children while teaching them about insurance in the coming days.
Further performances will take place in southern and eastern cities and the
final play of the season will be put on stage on 23 April 2010 (Children’s Day)
in Istanbul.

The Association hosted the meeting on Mobile Signature held by the
Undersecretariat of Treasury
On 22 January 2010, the meeting on mobile signature held by the Undersecretariat of Treasury took place at the headquarters of the Association. At the meeting attended by the financial controllers of the companies, officials of the Undersecretariat of Treasury provided information about the implementation of the mobile signature. During the meeting, the developments regarding mobile signature and the infrastructure of data processing were discussed.

The Association hosted the meeting on Coastal Plants Compulsory Liability Insurance
On 15 January 2010, the Association hosted the meeting on Coastal Plants Compulsory Liability Insurance to enable the related parties discuss about the problems arising from the implementation of the related tariff and instruction. During the meeting, officials from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and General Directorate of Insurance provided information about the related legislation. At the meeting, the head of the Liability Insurance Committee operating under the Association also discussed about international practices and problems faced in the implementation of the Coastal Plants Compulsory Liability Insurance. The meeting ended with a Q&A session.
