Azeri investors visited the Association
On 6 July 2010, Azeri investors accompanied
by officials from the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey
paid a visit to the Association to explore investment opportunities in
the Turkish insurance market. During the meeting, the Association was
represented by Mr. Mehmet Kalkavan, Deputy Secretary General of the
Association, Mr. Onur Acar, Responsible for Fiscal and Financial Affairs
and Ms.Muge Soysal, Assistant IR Specialist.
During the meeting, the Association made a presentation on the Turkish
Association, its structure, functioning mechanism, the Turkish insurance
market and its main indicators. Following the presentation, a question
and answer session was held.

Throughout July 2010, the Association participated to the working group meetings held in the context of the “Istanbul: International Financial Center Project”. The working groups aim at developing new strategies in regulatory, financial, legal and human resources aspects for transforming Istanbul into one of the major international financial centers in the world.

Nippon Life Company
visited the Association
On 28 July 2009, a group of officials from the Japan
based Nippon Life Company accompanied by officials from the Investment Support
and Promotion Agency of Turkey paid a visit to the Association to explore
investment opportunities in the Turkish insurance market. During the meeting,
the Association was represented by Mr. Hulusi Taskiran, President of the
Association, Mr. Erhan Tuncay, Secretary General of the Association, Mr. Mehmet
Kalkavan, Deputy Secretary General of the Association and Ms. Muge Soysal
Assistant IR Specialist.
Following the presentation made by the Association on the Turkish insurance
market and its main indicators, the guests were provided with further
information about life and pension branch in the Turkish insurance market.
